While McKay Church Goods offers many Virgin Mary Icons, the Queen of the Apostles features her surrounded by the most devoted of Jesus’s followers. Tradition teaches that the Mother of God continued to be a source of inspiration in the lives of the Apostles even after the Ascension of Christ. For this reason, iconographic tradition shows her centrally present at the Descent of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, and shows all the Apostles present at her holy passing from this world in the icon of the Dormition.
