The new translation of the Order of the Anointing of the Sick and of their Pastoral Care was recently approved for use in the dioceses of the United States of America beginning February 11, 2026.

LTP’s edition of the newly translated Order of the Anointing of the Sick and of their Pastoral Care provides ministers with a beautiful and dignified means of offering the Church’s ritual prayer for visiting, praying with, and offering the sacraments to those who are sick and dying. This ritual is primarily for priests and deacons.

This ritual book features:

two-color printing to differentiate spoken texts from rubrics
pagination designed to reduce disrupting page breaks
three ribbon markers bound into the book
a round backed, reese binding case to provide a durable book that can be used often and under various circumstances
a portable and convenient size while designed to provide a dignified source for the Church’s prayer
The newly translated ritual includes:

The Visitation of the Sick
The Communion of the Sick
The Order of the Anointing of the Sick within and outside Mass
Viaticum within and outside Mass
The Order of Offering the Sacraments to a Sick Person Who Is in Imminent Danger of Death
Confirmation in Danger of Death
