Stations of the Cross
This Deluxe Outdoor Shrine Set features the Emmerich Stations of the Cross. This set of 14 Stations provides a great source of meditation upon the Passion of Christ and are the perfect addition to the Lenten season.
The Emmerich Stations of the Cross set is named after Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, the German nun and mystic who wrote the highly influential meditation The Dolorous Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ. This set of stations was painted in the German style by an unknown artist in the late 19th century. Recognizable for its illuminated golden halos around the heads of Christ and His followers, as well as for the rich contrast and shadowing throughout the set, the Emmerich Stations of the Cross convey the beauty and sacrifice of Jesus’ Passion with a blend of modern and traditional styles.
These shrines are made of a combination of PVC and HDPE, the same kind of Poly Wood that outdoor decking and furniture is made of. It is made of recycled plastics and can be recycled again if the need ever arises. The material is waterproof, colorfast, bug proof, durable, resistant to cracking and splitting, won’t rot, and requires far less maintenance than real wood. They are assembled with stainless steel fasteners which won’t rust or stain.
Each image plate is printed, cut, and assembled by hand in Steubenville, Ohio. They are printed directly on 1/8-inch-thick Aluminum Composite Material (ACM), typically used in the signage industry. These plates are UV-resistant, guaranteed for 3-5 years of perfect image fidelity with minimal fading. The image plates are permanently adhered to the shrines.
The shrine holding the 4×6 image is 10″ wide by 11.5″ tall. The 6×9 is 12.5″ wide by 15.5″ tall, and the 8×12 image is 15″ wide by 19.5″ tall. The Shrines have a 2.5″ to 3.5″ overhang to help protect the image. We also have just the aluminum image plates available on this website for sale if you wish to build your own style shrine!
They come with a keyhole slot in the back to be hung up. Or you can mount them to stakes and stick them in the ground. We sell a set of stakes that come with screws to make assembly easier!

Our new durable 18″ stakes are made from HDPE Polywood. Set number SHRS-SET18P. The necessary stainless steel fastening screws for mounting the Stations and Shrines are included.
Set #SHRS-SET84P are 84″ stakes that are made of steel/polywood. Our new reinforced stakes feature an attached 6ft HDPE polywood strip to the front of a 7ft U-channel post. This 100% steel U-channel post extends a foot past the polywood, allowing you to secure the stake deep into the ground, while having an attractive polywood cover above it. Each post weighs roughly 8lbs, and we’ve included the necessary stainless-steel fasteners to attach your stakes to your shrines.
***Please note that the 84″ tall stakes are intended for the largest size of Deluxe Shrines, 8″ x 12″.
You can use these for simple shrines or for the smaller sizes (4″ x 6″ or 6″ x 9″), but the stakes will be proportionately larger on those shrines.
