We were pleased to help in the project of creating an Ombrellino for
The Basilica of Saint Mary of the Assumption in Marietta, Ohio.
Ombrellino shown in the two Basilica photos.
The shields were beautifully embroidered with the Vatican Shield, the Diocesan Shield
and the new Basilica Shield. The ombrellino, also called conopaeum, papilio or sinicchio
is the great papal symbol, that minor basilicas have been allowed to carry. It originated as
the canopy carried over the pontiff. Please allow three months delivery time.
