Note:
“Secure Luna” refers to a custom-made secure acrylic glass luna as shown in picture #3.
This secure luna holds the host securely between two pieces of acrylic glass. It opens and closes like a book with hinge on the side. It has a “foot” at the bottom which slides in and out of the Luna housing area of the monstrance. The monstrance itself has a glass front “window” to view and protect the secure luna inside. The word “secure” refers to the acrylic glass piece that basically sandwiches the host so when removed from the monstrance, the host is held safely. It does not refer to the glass window of the monstrance itself.

There is a door on the back side of the monstrance which opens up so you can slide the secure acrylic glass luna in and out of the monstrance. The “foot” attached to the bottom of the luna glides into the track that is inside the luna housing area of the monstrance.
